Holidays & Vacations

I may not have found all of the features just yet, but I figures that I manually needed to add all of my vacation and holiday periods, which is probably not the way most people want to go! There might be a way to import them from the Calendar app?
Also, in order to set a day as vacation or holiday, we need to go into the statistics tab and configure target hours at the top. This is a bit much…

Where do I actually add vacation and public holidays? I didn't look for it very long but it wasn't obvious to me.
I always just used tasks for public holidays, leave, sick leave,... and since I work across two organisations, they are actually sub-tasks under each of them to track them individually.
This worked fine for me so far but I'm happy to utilise a new feature if it makes it easier.

Gottfried Lechner: If you go to Main Window > Statistics View and select “Configure Target Hours” at the top of the center column, you can set vacations of a single day or date range in the Date Picker.

Niko Krämer: Got it but it took me a bit! So show the target hours, select a date (or range) and then click on the target hour field to get a pop-up. I don't feel that's very intuitive and it took me quite a few clicks even after I figured it out. Sorry - I can't really come up with an easier way though but, as above, I'm quite happy tracking leave/... via regular tasks.

Gottfried Lechner: True, it is hard to find! I plan to have documentation on the Timeframe website describing features like this.

I have already been working on Apple Calendar synchronization, which is now halfway implemented. I was planning to add it after the beta phase. Anyway, being able to import holidays and vacations automatically is a good idea I didn't think of. I'll try to include it in the Calendar sync.
Regarding quicker access to the target hours configuration, I'm unsure how to make it more accessible. I will add a button that links to it in the app's settings > general target hours configuration. At least this will add another way of access.

Niko Krämer: maybe the direct import via ical file is easier? On https://www.calendarlabs.com/ical-calendar/ you can create or select the appropriate calendar and then download it as ical file.
I find the configuration of the working hours via the settings menu well solved.

Marko Fiebiger: Importing ical files is a good idea as well! I'll keep it in mind.
